MOC Optocoupler: Fast, High‑Voltage Isolation for Modern Circuits
The MOC optocoupler pairs a high‑speed silicon phototransistor driver with a low‑noise IR LED to produce clean, reliable electrical isolation between signal and power rails. Engineered for automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics, it offers up to 30 kV isolation voltage, a current transfer ratio (CTR) ranging from 35 % to 120 % at 2 mA, and a propagation delay of less than 650 ns. Packed in a TO‑263 package and tolerant of 3 V to 30 V supply rails, it seamlessly interfaces microcontroller outputs to high‑voltage MOSFETs, IGBTs, or relay coils.
