The MQ-7 is a semiconductor based, high‑temperature sensor optimized for detecting carbon monoxide (CO) in the range of 20 ppm to 10 000 ppm. It operates at 5–9 V DC and incorporates a heated metal oxide film that changes resistance proportionally to CO concentration.
